Noah’s Ark: Trusting God Through Every Storm 🌈🦒
Share
There are some Bible stories children hear again and again—and Noah’s Ark is one of them. The animals, the enormous ark, the rain, and the rainbow make it a story children naturally love.
But behind all of those memorable details is an incredible lesson about faith, obedience, and trusting God even when we can’t see what He is doing yet.
That’s why we are so excited to introduce our October Noah’s Ark Boxes for both Little Disciples and Faith Builders!
Designed for two different age groups, each box brings the story of Noah to life through Scripture, hands-on learning, creative activities, and plenty of fun.
🌧️ The Story of Noah’s Ark
In Genesis 6–9, we read about a man named Noah who chose to follow God in a world that had turned far away from Him.
God told Noah to build an enormous ark because a flood was coming.
Imagine being Noah for a moment.
There was no storm outside. There was no flood in sight. And yet God was asking him to build a giant boat!
Noah could have ignored Him. He could have decided that God's instructions didn't make sense. Instead, Scripture tells us:
“Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.” — Genesis 6:22 KJV
Noah trusted God enough to obey Him before he could see the reason why.
He built the ark, gathered his family, and brought the animals aboard just as God instructed. Then the rain came.
For forty days and forty nights, the rain fell. The waters rose, but Noah and his family were safe inside the ark.
Eventually, the waters began to go down. Noah sent out a dove, and when it returned with an olive leaf, he knew that dry land was beginning to appear again.
And when Noah and his family finally stepped out of the ark, God placed a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His covenant.
🌈 A Lesson About Trust
For children, Noah’s story is about so much more than animals walking two by two.
It teaches them something they will need throughout their entire lives:
We can trust God even when we don't understand His plan.
Sometimes God asks us to be patient.
Sometimes doing the right thing isn't the easiest choice.
Sometimes we pray and don't see an answer right away.
And sometimes we simply can't see what God is doing yet.
Noah reminds us that faith isn't only trusting God when everything makes sense. Faith is choosing to trust Him while we're still waiting to see what comes next.
🦒 Noah’s Ark for Little Disciples
Our Little Disciples Boxes, designed especially for children ages 3–7, introduce Scripture through play, creativity, and hands-on learning.
At this age, children learn so much by touching, creating, imagining, and doing. That's why our Noah’s Ark Little Disciples Box turns this familiar Bible story into an experience they can interact with.
As children explore their box, parents can talk with them about Noah, the animals entering the ark, the rain that came, and the beautiful rainbow God placed in the sky afterward.
It creates a simple opportunity to reinforce one very important truth:
God keeps His promises, and we can trust Him.
Our hope is that long after the activities are finished, your Little Disciple will remember the story—and the lesson behind it.
🐘 Noah’s Ark for Faith Builders
For children ages 8–12, our Faith Builders Box takes the lesson a little deeper.
As children get older, they're ready to move beyond simply knowing what happened in a Bible story and begin thinking about what that story means for their own lives.
What would it have been like for Noah to follow God's instructions when he couldn't see the flood coming?
Why was obedience so important?
How can we trust God when we don't know what will happen next?
Our Faith Builders Noah’s Ark Box combines hands-on activities with a mini Bible lesson card designed to help kids explore the story and connect its message to their everyday lives.
It's still fun. It's still creative. But it's also designed to help growing kids begin taking greater ownership of their faith.
❤️ Bringing Scripture Into Everyday Life
At Messages from Christ, we believe some of the most meaningful conversations about faith can happen in the simplest moments.
They can happen while your child is creating something at the kitchen table.
While they're playing with something from their box.
While you're reading a few verses of Scripture together.
Or when they suddenly ask a question you weren't expecting.
Our boxes are designed to help create more of those moments.
We don't just want children to know the story of Noah's Ark.
We want them to remember that when life feels uncertain, God is still trustworthy.
When they don't understand what comes next, God is still with them.
And when God asks them to follow Him, they can have the courage to say yes.
🌈 Which Noah’s Ark Box Is Right for Your Child?
If you have a younger child who loves imaginative play, crafts, sensory experiences, and hands-on activities, our Little Disciples Box for ages 3–7 is a wonderful way to begin introducing deeper Biblical truths in an age-appropriate way.
For older children who are ready to explore Scripture more independently and think about how Biblical lessons apply to their own lives, our Faith Builders Box for ages 8–12 is designed especially for them.
And if you have children in both age groups, the boxes make it easy for siblings to study the same Bible story at the same time, each at a level created especially for their stage of learning.
